Here is a list of goods and prices from 1931 /32. They are extracts from the Day Book of Killeens Shop, kindly loaned by Derry. Its a facinating insight into the everyday purchases of the time: - candles, flanelette, globes for lamps, cycle outfits for puncture repairs and parafin oil, as well as a total absence of items which are commomplace today - pasta, firelighters, yoghurt etc.
A cwt of cement cost 4/2 (four shilings and two pence), the equivalent of 25 cents in today's money.
