Mike Doherty was reading a book about fish behaviour and noted that a pike can know that there is another fish in distress within a two mile radius. Hence his concern for the illegal fishing using live fish as bait.No doubt you would send out a distress message if you had a great big ugly treble hook stuck into you like the live fish bait.

planted on the approach fingers to the Cloghan Roundabout have stretched in the last week and many are now in full bloom.

At the Tidy Town table-quiz on Wednesday Bridie Carry and Kathleen Price
formed a team and won the first prize. And better still they won two of the three prizes
that were set up for the raffle. Not bad going and not a Madge or a Michael in sight.
What will happen next week when Madge and Michael link up with them again.?
