Three funerals in an evening. Father Tom Ryan lay in repose in Clonfad Church on Wednesday evening. After Mass on Thursday his remains will be taken to his order house at Kiltegan for burial.

Frank Somers once drummer with Syd and The Saints, The Evergreens and Foster and Allen has died. His body was removed from his home for Mass on Thursday morning.

P.J.Bannon, publican and once owner of The Green Olive has died. His body was removed from his home in Athlone on Wednesday evening with burial after Mass on Thursday.

The regular Wednesday night table quiz on this Wednesday night in Killeens decided to run the quiz in aid of the Kiltegan Missions on account of Father Tom Ryan. The venture raised 235 Euros.
