Support Fair Trade
Fair Trade Changes Lives
Often poor people in developing countries do not get a fair price for their products. Our Diocese, along with groups like TrĂ³caire, Concern, Oxfam, ICTU are promoting Fair-trade Products. These have the special Logo, which you see above, and guarantee that the producers in developing countries get a fair price for their products, e.g. tea, coffee, bananas, etc.
By changing to Fair-trade certified products, when possible, you can make a real difference to the lives of workers & farmers of developing countries. Sometimes the Fair-trade products may cost a little more, in order to ensure that the producers get a fair price.
That is a little sacrifice we are asked to make, especially during Lent, that others can be rewarded properly for their hard work.
So if you have the choice, support Fair-trade, & help change lives.
