Also congrats to Shane Kelly (Shannonbridge) who was one of three Offaly recruits in the recent passing out parade at Templemore. Shane is now based in Ashbourne.

Church Building.

The building of the new toilets at the church in Shannonbridge are proceeding at pace and should be finished shortly.

Book Launch.

The launch of the reprinting of Dr. John Feehan's classic study of the Slieve Bloom area "The Landscape of the Slieve Bloom" takes place in Kinnitty Castle next Monday 20th April at 8pm. The book is a study of the natural and human heritage of the area and was originally published in 1979. It will be officially launched by Dr. Pat Wallace, Director of the National Museum.
