We will celebrate Mass for First Communicants on Sat @ 12noon in Clonfanlough Church
Next Sunday we will celebrate the Feast of the Ascension
50th I. Eucharistic Congress (10 – 17th June) : ‘Communion with Christ & one another.’
Our 4 Cluster Parishes are organising a period of 40 hours of continuous Eucharistic adoration on a ‘relay’ basis in the 10 Churches of the pastoral area, with 4 hours of adoration in each church on 24th & 25th May, starting with Mass in each church. In this parish it will be on 25th May in Clonfanlough @ 8am & in Shannonbridge @ 12noon. We need volunteers to come for any length of time to ensure there is always someone present.
“The Eucharist is a priceless treasure: by not only celebrating it, but also by praying before it outside of Mass we are enabled to make contact with the very wellspring of grace. A Christian community desirous of contemplating the face of Christ..... cannot fail to develop this aspect of Eucharistic worship, which prolongs and increases the fruits of our communion in the Body & Blood of the Lord.” (Pope John Paul 2)
