Youth 2000 Ireland will be hosting their annual Christmas Retreat in Newbridge College, Newbridge, Co. Kildare from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th December 2014. Many young people from across Ireland (aged 16-35) are expected at this donation only event, with all newcomers very welcome.   This is a great opportunity to find out what your faith is all about in a friendly, chilled out atmosphere.  Free buses available.  Online booking necessary, see www.youth2000.ie or phone 01 6753690.

 Survey re Mass times in the Cluster Parishes

This will take place on the last weekend of Nov, and will go something like this:” in the light of declining numbers of priests in our pastoral area, and in the event of Masses having to be reduced, which Mass should be retained in this Church?”

Again, “if there were to be a re-organisation of weekend Masses in our Parishes, would you like to have a Sunday evening Mass in a central place (e.g. Ferbane)? If so, what would be the most suitable time for such a Mass (6, 6.30, 7.or 7.30PM)?

We are planning to have a Family Mass in Shannonbridge Church, in conjunction with the St V.de Paul Society on Sun 7^th Dec @ 12noon.  All families are welcome.  It would be appreciated if each child could donate a small wrapped Christmas gift, labelled “boy”, or “girl” and the age for which it is suitable.  A member of the SVdeP will be present to collect the gifts.  This offers us all an opportunity to give to a child in need, & your support is greatly appreciated.

Church envelopes for the coming year will soon be available.  We greatly appreciate the generosity of all those who contribute to the Parish and related collections.  Beir bua agus beannacht!

Michael Martyn, agri-environment consultant, will give a talk on combining nature conservation and modern agriculture to the benefit of the farmer and the environment in Clara Bog Visitor Centre on Wednesday 26th November at 7pm. 23 Mitchell Terrace Athlone on Saturday 8th of November 2014 starting at
