Reminders form the
Bishop
A National Eucharistic Congress (NEC) will be
held in Knock on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September
2015. The theme is ‘Christ our
Hope’. The NEC is a follow on from the
International Eucharistic Congress of 2012 and is also a preparation for the
next congress to be held in Cebu, The Philippines, in January 2016. The website for the Cebu International

The
Clonmacnois Deanery will hold a Day of Prayer and Reflection in the Sheraton
Hotel, Athlone on 6th August, to mark the Year for Consecrated
Life. A Diocesan Event to mark the
conclusion of the Year for Consecrated Life will take place on Saturday 30th
January in the Pastoral Centre and St Mel’s Cathedral.
The
Clonmacnois Pattern Day on Sunday 13th September will commemorate
1400th anniversary of the death of St Columbanus.
