SACRED HEART NOVENA 2018
MAY 31st– JUNE 8th
Lord Jesus, your Sacred Heart is always open in love to each of us, especially when we are suffering. To all who come to you seeking your help, you show your compassion and healing power. You care for us when we are lost, sympathise with us in loneliness and comfort us in mourning; you are closest to us when we are weakest. You reach out your hand to us when we stumble and have most need of your help. I ask you to listen to my prayer during this Novena, and grant what I ask. If what I ask is not for my own or others’ good, grant me always what is best, that I may build your kingdom of love in our world. Amen

OUR LADY OF CLONFERT, I come to you, as one of your children, who will never forget the importance of a woman like you. I come because I believe in you. I come to say thanks for the past and the present and ask you to bless me in the future. You know me, you know how I live and you know my needs. Please help me especially when I need you most. I have problems, worries and anxieties the same as everyone else - help me to cope. So often I would just love to give up when life hurts me and people betray me, but give me the courage never to lose heart. Bless my family, my life and my friends. Help me, no matter what happens to me in life, to believe, to trust and to hope. Our Lady of Clonfert, pray for us.

Message from Bishop Francis. (2 of 2)
From the moment of conception human life begins its journey of growth and development.  The baby in the womb is human, genetically unique, he or she has a right to that life.  Human life, once begun, should be allowed to continue until its natural end.  The one definite fact about abortion is that it will end a human life.  The Eight Amendment does not victimise, or deny medical treatment, instead it protects mothers and babies.

CORPUS CHRISTI  falls on the Holiday Weekend of June 2-3rd. It doesn’t seem to be a good time to ask Communicants & parents to form a procession with us. I propose that on July 11th when our parish hosts a gathering on “Faith” in our cluster– that we involved the Communicants then.

Message from Bishop Francis. (1 of 2)

The Eight Amendment to the Constitution is a guarantee that our laws will protect mothers and unborn babies. Without ‘the Eighth’ some babies in the womb will be regarded as less valuable than other human lives. A society that treats some human lives as less valuable than others is putting the most vulnerable and dependant at risk. ‘The Eighth’ is about letting live, let’s keep it.
