HAPPENINGS Papal Visit Progress a) Registrations for the Congress component in the RDS now exceed 18,000, with half of these coming from overseas, from over 100 countries; b) The dominant age profile of these registrations is parents and their children; c) The RDS Pastoral Programme is progressing well and will be available for all to see in early June; d) Tickets for the Final Mass are expected to be available in early June; e) Over 2,500 volunteers have already registered to share their skills and play their part.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Shannonbridge GAA members of the the ferbane u14 team who won the feile A final April 29th last against Clara. Local Club members were Sean Flannery. Matthew Darcy, Conor Brazil, Jamie Probin & Sean Quirke.

Holy Spirit, Spirit of God help me. Amen.
OUR LADY OF CLONFERT, I come to you, as one of your children, who will never forget the importance of a woman like you. I come because I believe in you. I come to say thanks for the past and the present and ask you to bless me in the future. You know me, you know how I live and you know my needs. Please help me especially when I need you most. I have problems, worries and anxieties the same as everyone else - help me to cope. So often I would just love to give up when life hurts me and people betray me, but give me the courage never to lose heart. Bless my family, my life and my friends. Help me, no matter what happens to me in life, to believe, to trust and to hope. Our Lady of Clonfert, pray for us.

.DOON / SHANNONBRIDGE GAA LOTTO The winning numbers in last week’s lotto draw were 4, 15, 19, 25. No jackpot winner. Three match 3 winners. This week’s jackpot is €9,600. Draw will be held in S/bridge on TuesLOUGH DERG - Pilgrimage season begins on Saturday 5th May for one day pilgrimage, admission €45. Three day pilgrimage begins on Friday 1st June, admission €75.
TUAR ARD - Upcoming events include Trad Show with Blackie O’Connell and Cyril ODonoghue on Saturday 12th May at 8pm. Tickets cost €15. Also the Bealtaine Variety Show in association with Rosemount GAA Social initiative, Tuesday 22nd May. Tickets €5. CONFIRMATION CLEAN UP Thank you to a small group of fantastic people who came out to brush and sweep and clean the church exterior last Thursday. Thanks on behalf of the children.
