PILGRIM WALK FROM ATHLONE TO CLONMACNOISE SEPT 9th
Walk the 14km from Clonbonny, Athlone to Clonmacnois across bog to join the Pilgrim Road. Start point at 11am (you drive 5km past Aldi, Athlone to T junction, turn left park at bog railway crossing).
Arrive Clonmacnoise 2p.m. to take part in Annual Pattern Day. Bus back to start point via Shannonbridge for refreshments arrive back at 6p.m. Bring walking shoes/boots, waterproof clothing, water and picnic lunch.
