Final Showdown for Juniors

Shannonbridge will contest the Junior A final this
Saturday evening in Doon when they meet Birr at 6pm.

It was 1989 since the Bridge last collected this
title,when they overcame Muchlagh in a memorable
final.

That year Des Dolan Snr the current Leitrim Manager
was over the Blue and Gold Men.

The Bridge face a Birr team, which are better known for
their skills on the Hurling field, who overcame
Edenderry with seven points to spare in their semi
final on Sunday last.

This Saturday will see the Birr Men leave the small
ball behind in exchange for the big one.

The bridge have enjoyed a great Championship campaign
and with experienced Players like Mike Devine and
Patjo Kelly will be hoping to collect a second Junior
A medal.

The Club will be hoping for a big support on the day
to rally on their local team who have trained hard
since last January to reach the Final. Come on the Bridge!
