Under 21 FC

Tullamore 4-12
Shannongaels 2-7

Shannongaels were swept aside by a very strong Tullamore outfit in the under 21 Football Championship played in Ballinamere on Sunday last.

The Blues were always in control of this tie when they got to a flying start by scoring a goal in the opening minutes and added a second before the interval.

Shannongaels fought back in the second half with two goals from Shannonbridge Man David Corbett but it was to be in vain as Shane Dooley and Sean Martin were in fine form and responded with two further goals in the second half to complete a comprehensive win for the Tullamore Men.
