Blessing of the Graves
We hope to have Mass with the blessing on Fri 10th Aug @ 7pm in the 'New' Cemetery, Clonmacnois; on Mon 6th Aug in Glebe burial ground @ 7.30pm.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock
Will take place on Sun 2nd Sept beginning with the blessing of the sick @ 2.30pm.
Pattern Sunday, Clonmacnois
The Bishop will lead the celebration on Sun 9th Sep, which is the actual feast of St CiarĂ¡n.
"All those who wish to walk the ancient pilgrim way from Ballinahown to Clonmacnois assemble at Ballinahown car park @ 11am. After Mass visitors will be welcome to enjoy musical entertainment & light refreshments in Ballinahown Hall.
There will also be an all night Prayer Vigil for young people aged 17 to 25 years, 8.30pm - 5pm. Contact Fr Patsy on 087-6505882."
We ourselves, locally, will celebrate the feast on Fri eve 7th Sept.
Lough Derg 3-Day Pilgrimage
Continues until Mon 13th Aug. Pilgrims must be at least 15 years of age, in normal good health, and able to walk & kneel unaided.
Fasting required from midnight on day of arrival. Cost: €45.00.
Boats available from 11am until 3pm daily.
Certificate Course in Pastoral Ministry
The Conference Hall Birr, on Tues nights from 11th Sept 2007 to 25th March 2008. Credits will be offered by U.C.L. for this Course.

BreastCheck Screening in Westmeath
Free breast x-rays (mammograms) are offered to women aged 50-64, at the mobile unit based at St Vincent's Hospital Athlone.
The Irish Cancer Society thanks all those who contributed to the recent Church gate Collection @ Clonfanlough. Amount: €170.00
Icross International will have a Church gate Collection for the relief of human suffering next weekend at Clonfanlough & Shannonbridge Churches.
