Celebrity Bainisteoir comes to Shannonbridge.
Shannonbridge club have been selected as the Offaly representatives for this year’s TV series Celebrity Bainisteoir. With teams from eight counties, Cork, Kerry, Galway, Offaly, Fermanagh, Dublin, Meath and Louth, taking part it will be good fun and a great opportunity to showcase our club and parish. Junior B Football Championship.
Shannonbridge lost their first championship game to Rhode, at home, on Tuesday last, with a score-line of 0-9 to 0-12. The first half was evenly contested with Rhode leading by 0-6 to 0-5 at half time. The visitors opened a five point lead but the ‘Bridge finished strongly, closing the gap to three points and were unlucky when a great Colm Kenny shot for a goal was denied by an equally good save. A big congratulations from all in the club to our goalkeeper Declan Kelly and Caroline Ryan who were married last Thursday.
Under 12 Football.
Well done to Shannonbridge Under 12’s who defeated Na Fianna by 8-15 to 2-4, on Sunday 29th May, in the first round of the championship.
Intermediate Football Championship.
Our next championship fixture is against Kilclonfert next Saturday, in O’Connor Park, Tullamore at 5.30pm.
Shannonbridge / Doon Lottery.
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot, with the numbers drawn as follows – 2, 5, 13 and 20. There two match three winners. This week’s jackpot is € 11,200.
