Intermediate Football Championship.
No joy for Shannonbridge, on their first venture into the Intermediate Championship, when they lost to St. Rynagh’s, at rain-lashed Ferbane, on Monday evening. After a satisfactory first half, Shannonbridge led by four points to two at the interval. Although St. Rynagh’s equalised in the twelfth minute of the second half at five points each, Shannonbridge remained strongly in the game as conditions worsened. Two scores in the last minute saw the opposition take the points on a score line of 0-9 to 0-6.
