Feast of St Ciarán
The following prayer was sent to me from St Kieran’s Parish in Miami Florida.  This is the prayer that is used by the people there, and they are also celebrating the feast today,15th Sept, and the Christians send greetings to all disciples of St Ciaran in Clonmacnois.
‘Beloved St. Kieran, great imitator of our Lord in charity, humility and wisdom, please guide our community as we strive to imitate your radiant faith by lives of devout prayer and love for God, and your holy zeal, by going forth to spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ to our neighbour.  We entrust our community to you, and ask your intercession so that like you, each of us may also be called “a lamp, blazing with the light of wisdom.”  But most importantly, give us humble and open hearts ready to receive and share God’s love and mercy with those around us.  We ask you this in Jesus name, Amen.  St. Kieran the Younger, son of a carpenter and Apostle of Ireland, build your community and pray for us!’
