BAPTISM  Next meeting for parents in our Pastoral Area who have a child for Baptism in Parochial House, Ballinahown on Thursday 14th Dec (8-9p.m.) Then on Jan 18th and February 15th. Please let me know so I can book you in.
World Meeting of Families 2018: If you are a resident of Ireland, why not consider volunteering for WMOF2018, either as an individual or as part of a group? No previous volunteering experience is necessary and we have roles for everyone, from logistics to liturgical, from translations to transport, among others. V de PAUL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION: There was an enormous response (16 big bags!) to the Toy Collection on Dec 3rd. The annual Christmas collection will be taken up outside Shannonbridge Church 8p.m. . You will all be aware of the demands made upon the Society throughout the year, but especially at Christmas time. Families in particular are under enormous financial pressure. Please be generous in your response to their appeal.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 10TH SANTA AT CLONONY CASTLE! - Due to popular demand Santa Claus will be making a return visit this Sunday 10th December from 1pm to 5pm, there will be sweets and treats for all!  The Christmas Gift Shop will also be open with beautiful traditional Christmas Gift ideas.  All are welcome

OFFERTORY ENVELOPES  2018 will shortly be distributed – The Parish depends very much on the generosity of its Parishioners to finance the maintenance of both Churches, associated buildings, Parish programmes through the Yellow and Purple envelope and the support of the clergy (6 Yellow & White envelope only)  Every week you support this parish through your generous financial donations and I deeply appreciate your continued generosity and support. Many people use our pre-printed envelopes to make their contributions, so far nobody uses direct debit, and others make a yearly contribution. For those who use the envelopes, they will shortly arrive. As with all things, there will be some changes, and you may find your number different to previous years.              
ST. PAUL SUNDAY MISSAL 2018 is now available to buy for €6.00. Parish Readers may collect their free copy in the sacristy or presbytery.                                                                        
GODS’ WORD 2018  Available from Sacristy./Fr. Tom. The daily Mass readings with a short reflection. Cost price €6 A possible Christmas present!        
CHRISTMAS PARTY THANKS.. A great time was had by all at the Shannonbridge party on Dec 3rd. Thanks to all the organisers (we’re warned not to name anyone), musician & singers, sponsors and to all who came along! We hope you enjoyed yourself & as one person said “we must do this again”!                    
  SAFEGUARDING UPDATE Its important to remind ourselves of the need for constant vigilance regarding good safeguarding practices for children and vulnerable adults. All parish and parish related activities which involve interaction with children and vulnerable adults require proper supervision, adherence to Diocesan Safeguarding Policies and Garda vetting. Diocesan policies and the relevant contact personnel are on the posters in each church and Halls. Our parish Safeguarding representatives are Eileen Quinn and Joey Rigney. 
LOOKING AHEAD! CONFESSIONS Monday 18th December. Ferbane 10a.m. An opportunity for individual confessions after 10am Mass in Ferbane.  There will be a number of priests available.   ALSO …….
