GAA news from Club PRO, Jason Mahon
Congratulations.
Congratulations to Niall & Sinead O’Shea, Clonfanlough on the great news of the birth of their son Sean O’Shea last week.
Club membership
A reminder that club membership is due for the coming year. This membership costs 20Euro for singles & 30Euro for families of 2 adults & 2 minors. This can be paid to club registrar Declan McEvoy or Niall Price. This is one of the cheapest if not the cheapest club membership in the county. Any players not paying membership this year will not be eligible to receive compensation in the unfortunate event of loss of earnings due to injury etc! Any previous non-members in the locality are more than welcome to join. Membership also entitles people to priority in attaining tickets to Offaly matches through the club.
Fundraising Bowling night
Shannonbridge GAA would like to inform everyone about their annual fundraising bowling night which will take place in Athlone leisure world on Friday, 27th March 2009.
Look out for bulletins in the coming weeks in which all details will be published.
Walking track
Shannonbridge GAA are exploring the possibility of constructing a walking track and accompanying floodlights around the GAA playing field and would like to hear feedback from members & locals alike.
This would have great benefits for all ‘keep-fit’ enthusiasts making walking easier at night time and also much safer than on the roads.
