Questions people ask (Fr Silvester O’Flynn ) Q. Are meditation systems such as Yoga or Transcendental Meditation forbidden by the Catholic Church? A. They are not forbidden. In fact, in the noisy and agitated world of today, these techniques can be very useful in quietening the mind in preparation for prayer. The quietened mind is then ready to pay more attention to God as revealed to the world in Jesus Christ. Attentiveness to God’s presence is the heart of prayerfulness and anything that can increase our capacity for attentiveness is to be welcomed. ¨¨¨¨

Members of the B.O.M. are organising a celebration of Orla’s career on Wed 23rd Feb with a Mass & Presentation @ 12 noon in the School. If you would like to join in the Mass and/or reception/presentation you are very welcome.
