Memo from Parish Pastoral Council
‘We are fortunate to have 2 good Halls in our Parish, and we are happy that both are used regularly. We ask Organisations using them to leave them as they would like to find them – clean & tidy. Please ensure that all rubbish is removed, that lights, water& heat are turned off.
It is getting more expensive to maintain these Halls, because of increased costs for heat, lighting, water & Insurance. We need your cooperation.
We ask that rent for the particular Hall be paid to the person with whom the Hall is booked ASAP. The Hall in Clonfanlough is booked with Ann Guinan, and in Shannonbridge with Liz Duffy.’

New Christians
We welcome into the Christian Community the following who were baptised recently: Laoise Faherty, daughter of Padraic & Úna;
Harry Guinan, son of John & Lorraine.

50th I. Eucharistic Congress: ‘Communion with Christ & one another.’
All large celebrations require a great deal of materials & preparation. The Eucharistic Congress is no exception. There are many challenges involved, and we want to ensure that the whole Church, both in Ireland & further afield, will see the Congress as opportunities to deepen our Faith in the Eucharist.
The Fourth National Collection for the Congress will take place on the weekend of 5/6th May. (In your box of envelopes the appropriate one is marked as 10th June; please use this if you can. There is also an envelope in the information pack that is available today. You may use the ‘Holy Land envelope at some other time). Your support, especially in these difficult economic circumstances is very much appreciated, and we thank for your support to date.

Next Sun is ‘Vocation Sun’ – a day to pray for guidance in our calling
