Shannonbridge GAA Club Notes

Division Two League.
Shannonbridge overcame an interval deficit of eight points to secure a two point win over Cappincur, in their first league outing on Saturday last. Eddie Egan opened the scoring with a Shannonbridge point, but Cappincur goaled with their first attack in the second minute. They continued to look dangerous and two further goals gave them a half time lead of 0-4 to 3-3. Shannonbridge got to grips with the game in the second half and had reduced the margin to five points with ten minutes remaining. Then, two goals in two minutes from Karol Kelly and Eddie Egan gave them a one point advantage. Final score 2-10 to 3-5.

Division Two League game, Shannonbridge v Gracefield, next Friday night, 8th March, in Gracefield, at 8.00pm.

Shannonbridge / Doon Lottery.
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot. The numbers drawn were 13, 17, 20 and 23 and there were no match three winners. An extra €200 is added to make this week’s jackpot €4,600.

Please note that membership is now due and should be paid to Registrar Damien Brazil, or any committee member, before 31st March. Rates are: Family €40, Players €30, Non-players €20, Senior / Student €10.
