STATION MASSES This is the time of year when we celebrate the ‘Station Masses’, a long-standing tradition in Ireland & and unbroken link with the faith and practice of our ancestors. We are looking for volunteers to host the Station  Mass, even it is not your ‘Turn’, or/and having it for the first time; or you may simply wish to have Mass in your home. We would encourage people to keep the occasion as simple as possible. We do not want this to be a burden on anybody.

SEPTEMBER is a month where many people consider something new. If you’d like to help in the Mission of this Parish by   helping as a Server, Reader, Choir, Church Cleaning, Eucharistic Minister or any role we’d love to hear from you. Contact Fr. Tom 086 8319500

 SUNDAY 10th SUNDAY 10th  PATTERN DAY  will be celebrated Sunday 10^th Sept with the traditional pattern, beginning 2:45p.m.  followed by concelebrated mass at 3pm  We will officially launch our diocesan program in preparation for the World Meeting of Families (WMOF) 2018 that will take place in Dublin August 2018 We are encouraging families to make a special effort to attend this year’s Pattern.  Fr. Pat Murphy. (PP Mohill) and Mrs Sharon Connon (Ferbane) will speak on the theme of family. There will be a presentation of a WMOF candle to a representative from each parish at the Mass. Could I have the name of a volunteer family who will represent our parish and receive the WMF candle on Sunday next.

MONDAY 11th SOCIAL DANCE CLASSES recommence  Monday 4th Sept at 8:30p.m. in Cloghan Hall, Beginners welcome. Enquiries to Alice at 086 2220328

TUESDAY 12th ACTIVE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION resumes after Summer on Tuesdays after 10a.m. Mass. Meeting in Killeens this week.   

WEDNESDAY 13TH SHANNONBRIDGE ACTION GROUP  - have your Say…  The village renewal scheme proposed plans, will be available for your inspection in the Tourist office over the next few days, prior to the Public Consultation Meeting which will take place on Wednesday 13th September in the hall between 6-8pm. Signed written proposals may also be presented for submission at the Tourist office during this time. Now is the opportunity for you to have your say.

FRIDAY 15th CLONMACNOIS PRAYER VIGIL Cluain Chiarain Prayer Centre on Friday 15th  of September and every third Friday. Mass at 9pm. Adoration and Prayers follow until 2.10am. All Welcome. Enquiries Dave; 085-7746763
