APPLIED CONSTRUCTION SKILLS - (QQI level 4 Award). St Rynagh’s College of Further Education, Banagher are running the above course for 30 weeks starting mid July. This course will provide skills in construction to include: Concreting, Laying Kerbs, Flags & Paviors, Woodcraft, Workplace Safety, Work Experience, Welding, Information Technology & Communications. BAPTISM - The next meeting for parents in our pastoral area who have a child for baptism will be held in the Parochial House in Ballinahown on Thursday 14th June from 8-9pm. WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES: It seems that Croke Park is almost booked out for Family Celebrations on 25th August. There are still places available for the Phoenix Park on Sunday 26th More Volunteers The organisers are appealing for More Volunteers. Events in the RDS. To mark the 50th Anniversary, a special Mass will be celebrated this Sunday 10th June in St. Mel’s Cathedral, Longford at 3pm. Bishop Francis Duffy will be the chief celebrant. We would like to invite especially those who have travelled on pilgrimage during any of those 50 years. Refreshments afterwards.
JUNE RETREAT DAYS AT GLENSTAL ABBEY - Tuesday 26th: One Day Silent Retreat for Women. Wednesday 27th: Annual One Day Retreat for Women (not silent). Thursday 28th: Day Retreat for Men. Reflect, relax and pray in the peaceful and beautiful surrounds of the Abbey. Guided by monks of the monastery, the day will include a number of talks, Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Meals and refreshment breaks are included.
