An Invitation
On May 9/10th 2020 our Diocese of Ardagh & Clonmacnois will host an Assembly to consider and offer views on how best the diocese can respond, at this time, to the pastoral challenges and opportunities.
Our parish is asked to send 3 delegates to take part in the Assembly and its Preparations. We are looking for men and women, younger and older to be part. There will be 3 meeting for the delegates in preparation for the Assembly. Saturday, 14th September 10th (10am-1pm) Saturday 23rd November (10a.m.-1p.m.) and a further date in Spring 2020.
The theme of the Assembly is “Shaping the future with hope.” In preparation for the Assembly there is a ‘Prayer Card’ at the exits of the Church which you are invited to take home and pray during the year for the success of this Assembly. There will be more about this Assembly in the days and weeks ahead.

Father, Be with me as I take this exam. Keep my mind alert and my memory sharp.
Calm my nerves and help me concentrate.
I know that you walk with me, Guiding my path and inspiring my heart. I pray that I would feel you with me, And that your friendship would soften the pressure I feel. I pray that I would pass this exam and go on to new things with you. Thank you for your peace and your love in my life. Thank you for your kindness and care for me. Amen.
When touring a place of interest that we are not familiar with, it is helpful to have a guide who can help us to get the most out of our tour. Jesus gives us his Holy Spirit to help us and guide us during our journey of life. .
