2)For watering all our planted containers and flowers beds.
For sweeping our footpaths and roadside almost daily, for litter picking daily. It has been noticed that our village is clean and tidy. To the private landowners who display lovely gardens and adorn their houses with window boxes and hanging baskets. All your work is much appreciated. Kind regards. Tidy Towns Committee.
Prayer to Our Lady of Knock Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland, you gave hope to your people in a time of distress and comforted them in sorrow. You have inspired countless pilgrims to pray with confidence to your divine Son, remembering His promise, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find." Help me to remember that we are all pilgrims on the road to Heaven. Fill me with love and concern for my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially those who live with me. Comfort me when I am sick, lonely or depressed. Teach me how to take part ever more reverently in the Holy Mass. Give me a greater love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Pray for me now, and at the hour of my death. AMEN
St. Bernadette Relics in Ireland Visit the relics of St Bernadette will journey on pilgrimage to Ireland for the very first time. This special once in a lifetime event will provide an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the special gifts and charisms of Lourdes near them. In our own diocese the relics will be in St Mel's Cathedral on Fri 27th and Sat 28th September.
