Shannonbridge Fishing Report Dated 30th June 2008

After lots of showers during the week the weather cleared at the weekend.

The river level at Shannonbridge reads 2.21 metres despite the rain.

A canal over tells me that the weed-cutting machine has reached Clononey and Shannonharbour. He reckoned that the operators did a good job in cutting the center weeds and maintaining the water lilies and wild crocus and other bankside fauna.

- On 25th June Joe Maddock from Oldham fished the Hot Water stretch in the rain using maggot and sweetcorn to catch 4 bream and three hybrids..

Next day he fished the same stretch again in the rain and caught 20 roach and 3 perch.
