>Mrs Jean Firmin,Scotland,fished on River Suck on 21st October using
dead bait in very windy conditions and caught a 9lbs pike.
>Next day Jean Firmin fished the Shannon in sunshine and landed a dream fish,
a pike that weighed 20.5lbs which was a personal best.
>Andy Henry from England fished the Suck on 23rd October using a lure
in overcast conditions to catch a 6lbs pike.
>Peter Henry fished the Suck with Andy also using a lure to catch a
7lbs pike.Both pike returned alive.
>Brian Collins,Ballinasloe fished on Lough Ree on 10th October, using
a lure to catch a 10lbs pike which he returned alive.
A regular group of visiting German anglers using Athlone Cruiser told
that the pike they were catching were too small to eat.
>The river level remains like a good summer level.
