Tidy Towns
It’s great to see window boxes and hanging baskets in full bloom and
bring an air of Summer to the village despite the inclement weather. A big ’Thank You’ to the FAS workers who
continue to keep the village neat and tidy by keeping grass cut, weeding flower
beds and power-washing the bridge railings.
The committee is in talks with Waterways Ireland in relation to the
plaza area opposite the Tourist Office and designing it with hard
landscaping. This will give a better
view of the river Shannon from the roadside.
We would encourage everyone to keep the village neat and tidy and if you
need help to do painting etc contact a member of the committee. Judging for the Tidy Towns competition has
taken place and we are awaiting results. Thanks to all for your continued
support and work.
