Prayer Walk on Clonmacnois Monastic Site

On Thurs 16^th Aug @ 3pm.  Rev Dr Russ Parker, Director of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation will lead the Prayer walk, and will conclude with prayers at the papal Oratory.  All are welcome.

The River Bus will go to Clonmacnois @ 2pm from Shannonbridge, and about 20 places are available on it for a nominal fee.

Motorist’s Prayer

Grant me, O Lord, a steady hand and watchful eye

That no one shall be hurt as I pass by.

Thou gavest life, I pray no act of mine

May take away or mar that gift of thine.

Shelter those, dear Lord, who bear me company

From accidents and all calamity.

Teach me to use my car for other’s need;

Nor miss through love of undue speed

          The beauty of the world, that thus I may

With joy and courtesy go on my way.

And reach without mishap Eternal Day.
