Intermediate Football Championship.
Shannonbridge overcame Bracknagh by two points, at Killeigh, on Saturday. This was a difficult game in windy conditions that reduced shooting to a lottery. Shannonbridge played against the elements in the first half, with the score at the interval 0-1 to 0-4. A goal by Bracknagh, at the start of the second half, gave them a six point lead. Shannonbridge found the range and reeled off the scores to finish 0-11 to 1-6.

Team: Donal Corbett, S. Flannery, P. Moloney, M. Darcy (0-1), W. Keena, N. Price (0-1), Darragh Corbett (0-1), J. Ryan (0-1), J. Egan, P. Egan, P. Deeley (0-1), T. Mahon, K. Flannery (0-4), K. Kelly, P. Kelly. Subs: J. Deeley, Anthony Kelly (0-1), E.Egan (0-1).

Shannonbridge / Doon Lottery.
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot. The numbers drawn were 9, 11, 20 and 23 and there were four match three winners. This week’s jackpot is €5,000.

Sympathy.
The club extends its sincere sympathy to the Corbett family on the passing of Tommy Corbett at the weekend. May he rest in peace.
