Shannonbridge GAA Club Notes


Division Two League.
Shannonbridge overcame a four point, second half, deficit to secure a two point away win over Clonmore Harps on Friday night. The home side led by a point at half time and increased this to four, after ten minutes of the second half. The turning point came in the fifteenth minute when Kieran Flannery put Paul Deeley through for a goal to take a one point lead. Although Clonmore goaled in the twenty second minute, Shannonbridge held on to take the win on 1-14 to 1-12.

Division Four League.
An excellent, competitive, game saw Shannonbridge overcome the challenge of Doon on Tuesday evening. Shannonbridge led by one point, 1-5 to 0-7, at half time, with the goal coming from Darren Finn. The sides were level with three minutes to go, but Shannonbridge finished with three points from Philip Egan, Darren Finn and Ronan McEvoy, to win on a score of 2-13 to 2-10. This game saw good performances from some of our younger players; Christian Brazil, Ronan McEvoy and Dean Hogan.

50 / 50 Draw.
Congratulations to Jack Rohan this week’s winner of our 50/50 draw - €234. Next draw will be in Lukers, next Saturday night. Tickets are €2 each from any committee member or player. Many thanks for your support.

Sympathy.
The club extends sympathy to the Cassidy family on the death of their mother, Bridgie. May she rest in peace. Bridgie’s late husband, Ned, gave great service to the club in the early days, as an administrator and team manager.

Shannonbridge / Doon Lottery.
There was no winner of last week’s jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 11 and 22 and there were four match three winners. This week’s jackpot is €7,200.
