Shannonbridge GAA Club

Intremediate Football Championship.
Shannonbridge lost to Bracknagh by three points, in Cappincur, on Saturday night. Bracknagh got a dream start with a goal in their first attack, but Shannonbridge replied immediately with a well taken Karol Kelly goal after good work by Eddie Egan. After an even first half, Bracknagh led by 1-5 to 1-6, Shannonbridge scores coming from Paul Deeley (3), Donal Corbett (1, 45) and Kieran Flannery. Shannonbridge remained in contention, good defending backed up by two excellent saves from Donal Corbett. Wind and rain contributed to difficult shooting conditions in a low scoring second half and Bracknagh ran out winners at 1-11 to 1-8. Team: D. Corbett (0-1, 45), S. Flannery, P. Maloney, M. Darcy, P. Kelly, N. Price, D. Finn, J. Egan, P. Egan, K. Flannery (0-3), T. Mahon, E. Egan, P. Deeley (0-4), K. Kelly (1-0), D. Corbett. Sub: M. Corbett for T. Mahon.
