Night Prayer Vigil on Fri 21st Aug, beginning with Mass @ 9pm.  Adoration follows and finishes at 2.10am.  All welcome.  Enquiries Dave 085-7746763

Lough Derg: the One Day Retreat season begins again on 17th Aug and continues on 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 August, on 5,6, 8,9, 12, 14, 15, 19, 20 Sept
Boats are available from 9.15am.  Crossing is less than 10 minutes.
On arrival on the island tea/coffee and scones are served.
The Retreat starts @ 10.20am, and follows a set programme of prayer and reflection.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation is included but optional.
The day ends with Mass in the Basilica.
A light lunch is served, and pilgrims keep their footwear on.
Boats return from the island to the lakeshore from 4pm

 SHANNON HARBOUR MASS  @ 7pm on Thursday August 20th  .
The theme of this Mass will be Remembering our Emigrants.’
You are invited to write down the names of members of your families living abroad (along with the country or city in which they are living), in the book which will be placed in a strategic place in your local Church.
You might like to include those who have died far from their homeland.
The books will then be taken and placed before the Altar at this Mass.
‘Ar scath a chéile a mhaireas na daoine.’

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will be on Sun 6th September
 A bus will go from the Parish as usual, leaving Clonfanlough @ 9.30am and Shannonbridge @ 9.45am.  Enquiries to Teresa Rohan or Darran Finnerty
Knock Counselling Centre provides a confidential Drop – In listening service for pilgrims and visitors to Our Lady’s Shrine of Knock on weekends from April to October.  The Centre is open Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 5pm

To celebrate Fr O’Hanlon’s retirement after 20 years in the Parish there will be a ‘Get-together’ in Shannonbridge Hall on Fri next 21st Aug @ 8pm
