ICON - The official Icon for the World Meeting of Families will come to St. Mary’s Church, Athlone on Monday 26th/Tuesday 27th March. Mass will be celebrated on both days at 9.30am and 1.05pm A Prayer Service with opportunity for Confession will take place on Tuesday 27th at 7.30pm. All are invited to come to some part of either day. Prayers from our petition boxes in each Church will be placed before the icon and then sent on to the Poor Clare contemplative convent in Drumshanbo

11.00 am Assemb le at Clonbonny. Walk across bog (16km) to Clonmacnoise led by an experienced Leader from Athlone Walking Club. Directions to Clonbonny: Take the road by Aldi, Athlone. Drive 5km straight to “T junction”. Turn left and park by bog railway crossing. Bring walking shoes/boots, backpack, waterproof clothing; water & picnic lunch. 3p.m. Inter Church Service at Clonmacnois. 3:30p.m. Bus to Shannonbridge for refreshments. Bus returns to Clonbonny by 5:3p.m. To book seat on bus (€6) Text 087 2128842
