SFL Q Final
Shannonbridge 0-9
Ballycumber 1-12
Friday night last in Doon saw the end of the season
for Shannonbridge senior Footballers when Ballycumber
had just too much gas in the tank for the Bridge.
The Shannonsiders did very well in the first half with
Jim Killeen in top form, the seasoned campaigner
scored two long range points to keep the Bridge ahead
by 0-7 to 0-5 at the interval.
The second half saw Ballycumber come more into the
game and with the wind at their backs they began to
kick themselves back into the game.
Ballycumber who meet Shamrocks in the county semi
final simply had another gear left to put the Bridge
away in the final quarter.
Despite the defeat their was some good performances
Trevor Mahon and Kieran Flannery in Defence, Midfield
enjoyed plenty of possession, while up front Jim
Killeen was very effective.
