The Bridge Advance to County Final

Shannonbridge 0-10
Shamrocks 0-7

Shannonbridge advanced to the Junior A final when they
overcame a strong Shamrocks side in Ferbane on Friday
evening last.

The Bridge Started well as they did against ferbane in
the previous round. It was a case of deja vu for the
Shannonsiders as happened against Ferbane Hubert Darcy
came off through injury after 15 minutes.

He was replaced by Player/ Selector Declan Kelly who
scored a point once again, just after coming in from
the bench.

At the interval the Bridge led 0-7 to 0-3. The
restart saw the bridge always in control in all areas
with Mike Devine giving a masterful display at
centreback and was well flanked by Mark Maloney on the
wing.

Kieran Norton had his hands full at in the number 3
shirt when he had to deal with former Offaly Player
Aidan "Scrap" Bracken and handled the big man very
well.

Upfront saw Kelly brothers Anthony and Patjo working
hard for the cause. On the Day Declan Kelly was the
match Winner when he stepped up to the plate to finish
with a tally of four points.

The Bridge will now await on the other Semi between
Birr and Edenderry to see who they meet in the Final.

Team K Coughlan, E McEoy, K Norton, A Gunning, M
