This Sun is Mission Sunday. Pope Benedict reminds us that the absence of God in the lives of millions is the greatest suffering. People are hungry for God, not just for bread & freedom. Please help missionaries to reflect God's Love with the support of your prayers, offering of suffering and a financial contribution.

The Society for the Propagation of the Faith
A French laywoman, Pauline Jaricot, founded this in 1822.
She wished to help not only French missionaries but all missions and missionaries, especially the poorest.
In 1922 it became the primary organisation of the Church for helping the missions under the patronage of the Pope. Pope Pius XI instituted Mission Sunday in 1926 and ordered that it be observed in all Churches, including those in mission territories.
