GAA News from Jason Mahon

Shannonbridge man to referee Senior county final.

Shannonbridge GAA wishes the best of luck to Damian Brazil who will referee his first Senior football county final on Sunday, 7th October between Tullamore & Shamrocks. This is a great achievement for the Clongowny man who has been refereeing for the most part of the last decade. In what is promising to be a cracker of a final between two neighbouring clubs, there is no doubting Damian is the right man for the job.

Congratulations
Shannonbridge GAA wishes to congratulate Senior goalkeeper Declan Kelly on his recent engagemant to Caroline. We wish them both every bit of hapinness in the future.

Senior League semi-final
Just a reminder to all surrounding the club that Shannonbridge will contest the 2007 Senior league, Division 1 semi-final against senior championship finalists
Tullamore following the conclusion of the championship. Shannonbridge's last major honour was of course winning the 1998 Division 1 title following 3 titanic battles against near neighbours Doon, in which the 2nd replay in the epic battle wasn't played until October of the following year.
