Congratulations
Shannonbridge GAA club wish to congratulate Mark Carty who won All -Ireland Football medal in early December in the Garda inter divisional All-Ireland series with his division Longford/ Westmeath.
The towering Shannonbridge Man lined out in his familiar position of centre field with his team, when they overcame the challenge of Dublin West Gardai after extra time in a trilling game which was played in Newbridge.
Mark Carty had a storming game according to reports and was instrumental in the L/W Gardai collecting their first All- Ireland title.
Mark was in great fettle this year for Shannonbridge and gave some of his best displays in the Blue and Gold in 2006 and the Club hope he can take this form with him into 2007.

Sincere Sympathy
Shannonbridge GAA Club wish to extend their sincere Sympathy to the Kelly Family, Clonfanlough, for the untimely loss of Earl who died tragically in the week leading up to Christmas.
Earl who was just 27, played Football for Shannonbridge from under 12 to Minor level and enjoyed plenty of success with the Club and regularly featured on the forward line.
Earl had been living and working in Dublin for the last couple of years. He was very popular and will be hugely missed by his Friends & peers alike. Our thoughts at this time are with his mother Kay, Brothers Padraig and Conor & Sister Roisin.
May he rest in peace.
