Inter Parish Sports Day

PURE MULE INTER PARISH SPORTS DAY
Possible dates are the 11th or 18th of September – will have more information next week.

The parish’s taking part are as follows:
Banagher (Hosting the event)
Cloghan
Ferbane/Belmont
Shannonbridge/Clonmacnois/Clonfanlough
Ballinahown/Boher/Pullough

It is going to be on a point system, so the parish that wins the most points wins the prize, which is €1000 to be donated to a charity of choice, but has to be selected before the games.

A list of the following games
1.Tug-Of-War Each parish to put a team forward of 3 male & 3 female. Also a U16-U18 team as well, there will be points for each team that wins.
2.Wife Carrying One couple for each parish to be nominate & points will be given to the winning team. Then an open race for whoever wants to enter.
3.Sheaf Throwing 1 male & 1 female from each parish,
Points for winning team. Then open to all after competition.
4.Weight Throwing 1 male & 1 female from each parish,
Points for winning team. Then open to all after competition.
5.Water Balloon Each parish to put a team forward of 3 male & 3 female, team of 6, points awarded. After competition open to all.
6.Long Puck One male & one female, from each parish and points awarded. Then open to everyone.
.Penalties One male & one female, points awarded. Then open to everyone after competition.
7.Pillow Fight One male & one female, points awarded. Then open to everyone after competition.
8.Wellie Throwing One male & one female, points awarded. Then open to everyone after competition.
9.Relay Race Team of 4 from each town, 2 male & 2 female, points awarded. Then open to the following; U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U20, U30, U40.
10.Obstacle Course Team of 4, 2 male & 2 female from each town, points awarded. Then open to all after competition

Also on the day we will have face painting, a dunking machine, music and other novelty events. For dunking machine we need some locals to volunteer to get wet! Refreshments for everyone on the day it is all free.
