A Day for Life - today 3rd Oct
'Day for Life' is our annual celebration of the sacredness of human life from the womb to the tomb. The Catholic Church is pro-life, and it is at the heart of what we believe. This year its theme is ‘the meaning of Christian death & care for those who are dying.’ Please read the leaflet & say the prayer, which is printed on it.

Station Masses
This is the time of year when we celebrate the ‘Station Masses’, a long-standing tradition in Ireland & and unbroken link with the faith and practice of our ancestors. We are looking for volunteers to host the Station Mass, even it is not your ‘Turn’, or/and having it for the first time; or you may simply wish to have Mass in your home. We would encourage people to keep the occasion as simple as possible. We do not want this to be a burden on anybody.

Questions people ask (Fr O’Flynn – Intercom) Q. What did Jesus mean when he said that a tiny seed of faith could uproot a tree and plant it in the sea? A. It is a colourful way of saying that faith can achieve what would be impossible to our own efforts without the aid of grace. The context of this saying is where Jesus teaches that there should be no limit to the times we are to forgive others. Forgiving may seem impossible but faith is powerful enough to pull up the roots of bitterness from the heart and cast it aside … like a tree uprooted and cast into the sea. With the grace of God people can achieve great healing of memories.
