Next Sunday is Mission Sunday
"Two thousand years since the start of Mission, there are still vast geographical, cultural, human and social areas which have not yet been penetrated by Christ and his Gospel" (Pope John Paul).
Support the proclamation of the Gospel message by prayer, offering of suffering and generous financial contribution.
In his letter for Mission Sun Pope Benedict wrote: “Proclaiming the Gospel belongs to the entire Church, as the Church is missionary by its very nature.”
The money raised by the Universal Church on Mission Sun is made available, in its entirety, through the Universal Fund to the poorest & neediest missions.

Questions people ask (Fr O’Flynn - Intercom ) Q. If God can read our inmost hearts and already knows our secret thoughts, why must we use words to pray? A. God does not need our words but in many instances it’s we who need words to focus our attention, to clarify our thoughts and help us to persevere. The effort to find our own words, or using prayers known by heart or prayers such as the Psalms or the Lord’s Prayer draw us into the world of prayer. Words are not always needed and may even get in the way of silent pondering. Saint Paul wrote that the Spirit within us can express our pleas in ways that could never be put into words (Romans 8:26).

‘Restoring Confidence’ (Will Rogers) "I have just joined the great movement of ‘Restoring Confidence.’ There is a lot of people who got ‘confidence’ in this country, but we are a little short of good men to place ‘Confidence’ in."

"Thoughts, words and acts are seeds sown, and, by the inviolate law of things, they produce after their kind." (James Allen)
