Under 12 B Football Championship Replay.
Shannonbridge had to give best to a stronger Kilcormac / Killoughy team, on Sunday last, at Banagher, in their championship final replay. They kept in touch during the first half and had their best period immediately after the break, scoring a goal and point, to reduce the arrears to just two points. Although gradually overcome by a physically stronger opposition, they never gave up and battled to the end. Final score Kilcormac / Killoughy 0-15 Shannonbridge 1-3. Well done to our team and their mentors, in reaching the county final and taking it to a replay. As the first parish under age team for some years, it’s an important step and will give great encouragement for next year. The Shannonbridge v Castleisland game is the subject of next Sunday’s programme, 10th October, on RTE 1, at 6.30pm.
