New Rural Broadband Scheme for Shannonbridge

The midland authority sent the email below looking for people in Shannonbridge who are interested in getting broadband access. Send an email to kerrill @ gmail.com if you want a copy of the information mentioned or contact details for the midland authority.

-----------
The Rural Broadband Scheme was launched by the Department of Communications on May 5th. The RBS is aimed at individuals who have been unable to secure a broadband service from a service provider for various reasons, the one we are most familiar with being ‘line of sight’.

The Midland Regional Authority is working with Local Authorities within the region to promote the scheme in partnership with the Department of Communications. It is in this regard that I contact you and attach the following:
· RBS flyer to raise awareness for the scheme
· RBS Brief for use in newsletters / e-mails / websites
· A FAQ about the Scheme
· A County Map detailing eligible areas
· An application form

I would appreciate if you could assist with:
· Promoting the scheme on shannonbridge.com and adding to the parish newsletter
· identifying a local champion to promote the scheme within Shannonbridge and assist in the organising of a community information evening before June 10th.

The closing date for receipt of applications is July 29th
I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
