Obama takes a shine to Shannonbridge Pottery

During his recent visit to the Moneygall, Barak Obama took a detour into one of the local shops to buy a present for his Mother in Law. He ended up buying some pottery from none other that our own Shannonbridge Pottery. There was a clip on the news about it last night. You can watch it on this link to the RTE player, its at about 22 minutes 30 secs: http://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1099176

They have sent on some photos which are attached:
1) The hat box that President Obama actually purchased with the 50 euro
2) The 4 piece mug set with the Obama family Christian names on them which we gave as a present.
3) Tara Fanning daughter of the owner of An Siopa Beag with the mugs before President Obama got them.
4) Maria and Mary of An Siopa with a turkey platter outside An Siopa Beag.
The design is called Shamrock Brushes. Shannonbridge purchased it from the creative dept of the New York Times. The artist is a journalis, Sue Chastain

Well done on the scoop Charlie!
