Shannonbridge Fishing Report Dated 13th May 2011.
>On 9th Jan 2011 Patrick Fahy,Ballymahon fished River Suck in sunshine after frost using a dead smelt to catch a 22lbs pike at 12.30pm.Returned alive.
>On 10th Feb 2011 Domenic Cottrell,Navan fished the Shannon in fresh weather using a dead roach to catch a 13lb 13 oz pike.Returned alive.
>James Cottrell,Navan also fished the Shannon on 10 to 12 Feb 2011 using dead roach to catch four pike 2x14lbs and 2x12lbs.All returned alive.
>Alan Casey,Dublin fished the Shannon on 19th Feb 2011 with a dead roach to catch a 22lbs pike which was returned alive.
>Stephen O Meara,Maynooth fished the Shannon from the floating jetty on 18th March using dead mackerel on a cloudy breezy day to catch four pike weighing 10,8,5 and 4lbs.Returned. >John Coleman,Birdhill fished the Such on 27th March using maggot and corn on a fine day to catch 15lbs of roach and hybrids.Returned alive.
>Felix Lindbuchl,aged 8years from Germany fished the Shannon on a sunny 20th April using a wobbler to catch three pike 70cm each which he returned alive.
>Dave Kemp Bradford fished the Suck on a fine 16th April using leger and worm to catch three bream,hybrids and roach .Total weight for short time was 17.5lbs.
>Dave Kemp fished the Suck on 17th April 2011 using float and maggot to catch hybrids and roach for a 14lbs bag.Sunshine.
>Dave Kemp fished the Suck on a hot 19th Aprilusing float and maggot to catch 21.5lbs of roach and hybrids.
>Dave Kemp fished the Suck on 20th April using feeder corn and worm to catch 2bream,4skimmers roach and hybrid for a 15lbs catch weight.
>Steve Nell Sheffield fished the Suck on 20th April 2011 using deadbait and leger methods to catch a 28lbs pike which Steve said was 'a real Croc'.The Croc was released safely.
>John Mc Cormack,Athlone fished the Grand Canal on a sunny 22nd April 2011 using sweetcorn maggots and float to catch 9tences and roach perch and bream fishing from 2 to 6pm.Tench about 3lbs each.
>Degraux Bewoit,Belgium fished the Shannon on 3rd May,using lures and softbait to catch 5 pike weighing 3lbs each.'I'll be back' says Degraux.
>Leherissier Pascal from France fished at Shannonbridge on a windy 3rd May 2011 using lures and dead bait to catch 5 pike.
>The Parrott Family Steve alan Dave and Jim from Kent England fished the Suck from 1st May to 6th May with North East winds using brown crumb maggot and caster catching hybrids to 3lbs,roach to 1.5lbs,catching over the week 200lbs of silver fish.Good week although wind hurt.
>Andrew Low,Wilmslow England fished the Grand Canal in overcast wet weather using pole and red maggot to catch 40lbs and 50lbs of bream roach tench and eel in mid channel.

River level on 1st May on gauge at Shannonbridge read 2.45metres.On
9th May the reading was 2.2metres.
