Yesterday afternoon about fifteen people answered the call to talk about the idea of having an Active Retirement Group in the village. Among the items suggested were bowls, outings, dancing, walking, boat trips, coffee mornings, talks, local history, helping other groups and meeting people and having a chat. The Youth Group prepared a very welcoming fire in the old vestry and Catriona Slattery and Liz Duffy had tea and dainties waiting when the meeting was over. And there's more. The group decided to have a coffee morning next week after Mass and publish the details on the Parish Bulletin this Sunday.
