Looks like March third was a lucky day to be born.While Joe Turley and
his friends and neighbours gathered for a cup of tea and cake and
pavlova and whatever your having after Mass in Shannonbridge,
they heard that a Mass was celebrated in Ard Chiarain was in
remembrance of the late Michael Moran and as
birthday celebration for Michael Greene,Cloneish,near Clonfad,
who was one up on Joe Turley as he is 91 years.
Meanwhile in Ballinasloe Brigie Cassidy,who lived and worked
in Shannonbridge before moving to Ballinasloe, celebrates a special
birthday today. Happy Birthday to you all.

Todays paper has a photograph of a Chinese vase that was sold at an
auction in Sheppards Auction House, Durrow, County Laois.
The vase had an auction guide price of 100E to 150 Euros and was sold
for 110,000 Euros. See Irish Times front page.

Some light rain falling this morning as forecast.
The bird feeders were almost empty this morning with a little help
from some acrobatic crows. Anyhow keep feeding the birds.

Table quiz tonight is in aid of Trocaire the third world charity.
