Passing a few minutes last evening in Ferbane in Centra foodstore
I noticed a book of poetry by a local author.
The first poem was titled 'The Road to Ballinasloe' I think.
It told in verse the true story of Kieran Feeney sitting on the side
of the road and two Jehovah Witnesses stopping their car and trying
to show Kieran the way to God.Kieran was happy enough with his own way
and the two J.W. went away. A few minutes later their car stopped
alongside Kieran and one of them asked him if he might show them the
way to Ballinasloe. Excuse me says Kieran but are'nt you the two that
were going to show me the Way to God only a few minutes ago.
He tells it very well in verse.

Weather has been fine and sunny lately with some frost at night.
Forecast is for a rainy Sunday.
Mick Killeen and a Robin bird have struck up a great friendship
while sorting bottles. Only yesterday Mick discovered that the robin
has made good headway in buildin a nest in one of the stores.
It is a safer location than two years ago when four baby robins
lost their lives to frost in a nest built on top of a concrete wall.
